Days of the week

Some days, I get the feeling that life is leading myself and others along a fixed course.

There’s days where I get the feeling that no matter what I do, I can’t seem to get through the day without making one mistake after another. Other days, it’s the exact opposite – I can’t seem to do anything wrong, and those days are what I live for! I got to experience such a day the other week, when I brought home a brand spanking new ductless mini-split HVAC system, and what I like about these handy little systems is how easy they are to install – relatively speaking, of course… It’s not like a ductless mini-split can just be plugged into any outlet and start giving air conditioning to your home! Sure, there’s portable cooling towers and window air conditioner units for that, but a ductless mini-split HVAC system is different. There’s actual upgrades that has to be taken into consideration with a ductless mini-split system, but it is not anything that will leave a old handyman scratching his head! The hardest part of installing a ductless mini-split system is drilling a hole through the wall, which is where all cables, piping and other important wires will feed through to the interior piece of the mini-split system. I expected to get lost at this part of the upgrade, even though I surprisingly went right through it without issue! In one day, I had the brand new HVAC system installed and ready to go! My wife was more than thrilled at the success, and asked how I was able to get it done. I simply told her that today, I was the hammer instead of the nail.
